Graphite-Metal Alloy Bushings Solve Dry Running Issue with Raffinate Pumps

Raffinate is a gasoline additive to help meet scricter emissions standards. A pump company with a raffinate pump experienced a bushing failure- their PEEK bushing came apart and coated the shaft. Graphite-Metal Alloy Bushings Successful in Screw Compressor

In this particular application, Graphite-Metal Alloy Bushings are used in a screw compressor in hydrogen gas service.  It is a high speed, low load application for the bushings.  They had originally tried aluminum bushings, which failed, then plain bronze bushings, which also failed.  They then tried Graphite-Metal Alloy Bushings, which have been successful in this application.  Read more here
